    TORRANCE – The Bishop Montgomery girls basketball team had revenge on the mind as they faced Troy in the CIF Southern Section Open Division playoffs, Wednesday.
    Troy beat Bishop Montgomery in December, but this time the Knights were full strength as sophomore-transfer Khylee Pepe did not play in the first meeting, but she was a huge factor this around as the Knights were victorious, 67-53.

    Cypress man arrested on suspicion of killing family member
    CYPRESS – A 23-year-old Cypress man was behind bars Wednesday, Feb. 13, on suspicion of killing an 84-year-old family member.
    David Tenorio was booked on suspicion of killing David Tenorio Sr., said Cypress police Sgt. Scott Ausmus. The two were related, but investigators declined to say how.
    The suspect, who was arrested late Tuesday night, was being held on $1.1 million bail, according to jail records.
