  WASHINGTON (AP) — Federal regulators have approved a first-of-a-kind “artificial pancreas,” a device that can help some diabetes patients manage their disease by constantly monitoring their blood sugar and delivering insulin as needed.

  LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Hubble Space Telescope has spied what appear to be water plumes on one of Jupiter’s icy moons shooting up as high as 125 miles.
  The geysers are apparently from an underground ocean that is thought to exist on Europa, considered one of the top places to search for signs of life in our solar system.

  Police say the shots were fired near 2500 Coors NW. At this time, officers on scene say it appears that no actual shots were fired at any balloons. Instead, they say the shots were heard being fired in the area.

  The Loma fire is 66 percent contained.
  It has burned nearly 4,500 acres and has destroyed 12 homes and 16 structures.

  Jacob Hall’s mother posted an update on Facebook that said her little boy passed Saturday.
