  The announcement comes after a settlement between Martinez and the Española school district was reached Tuesday.

  WASHINGTON (AP) — Rep. Mark Takai, a first-term Democrat from Hawaii, died Wednesday after battling cancer.

  ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Nathaniel Carillo, one of three teens accused in the beating deaths of two homeless men, pled no contest Wednesday to murder and other charges.
