  SANTA FE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Santa Fe Police Department had a special visitor Wednesday, a young officer in training. Aneaizlette came into the police station with her mother wanting to see a real life police officer. There, she met Officer Christopher Mooney.

  ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The charges against two of the suspects accused of killing an Albuquerque teen were dismissed by Bernalillo County District Attorney Kari Brandenburg.
  Christopher Cruz and Donovan Maez are accused of a drive-by shooting that killed 17-year-old Jaydon Chavez-Silver.

  WASHINGTON (MEDIA GENERAL) – Families are crossing the U.S.-Mexico border in record numbers, surpassing levels seen during the 2014 crisis that caused widespread consternation at the highest levels of government.
  New numbers show approximately 32,117 families, mostly from Central America, flooded the Southern border in the first six months of fiscal year 2016, reports Pew Research Center.

  It happened around 10:30 on Wednesday night on Texas Street in the northeast part of Town near Hayes Middle School. As of Thursday morning, police say the victim is stable.
