  ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) –Big cats have been spotted a little too close to home lately.
  A mountain lion has people in Durango a little nervous. According to the Durango Herald, it’s been spotted a lot in the Junction Creek area over the last few weeks. One resident saw it feeding on a deer on the side of a highway.

  ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Two families are safe thanks to the quick thinking of two landscapers. They spotted a fire at a duplex near Central and Coors Wednesday morning.
  Kevin Painter and Ricardo Rodriguez were trimming some trees nearby when they noticed smoke coming from the back of the building.

  ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A trial date has been set for the man accused in a deadly DWI crash.
  Steven Trujillo was allegedly driving drunk at Rio Bravo and Del Rio in July when he slammed into a mini-van packed with kids, many of whom were thrown from the vehicle.
  Mary Soto, 30, and a 14-year-old were killed.
  Trujillo has pleaded not guilty to vehicular homicide.

  Edward Owens, 21, admitted he smuggled suboxone, a prescription drug into the jail for an inmate back in 2014.
