  The "anonymous" metal buildings found in rural Taiwan were a visual reference for Double Roof House, which local practice Studio Tngtetshiu has created in Tainan.
  Double Roof House comprises a home, warehouse and playground, located alongside a red-brick church previously renovated by Studio Tngtetshiu.

  French architecture studio Dream has completed an office building in Paris, which is clad with terracotta tiles to "evoke the history" of the industrial site in the Saint-Ouen district.
  Situated within one of three Olympic villages, the mass-timber structure by Dream will be used as office space for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games team during the Olympics this summer. • F+G Architectes creates "deliberately restrained" timber stable near Lyon

  French studio F+G Architectes has created a stable outside Lyon that is formed of wooden structures designed as a modern take on the area's typical agricultural buildings.
  Called Les Écuries de la Roche, the building in the commune of Vourles provides space for 28 horses, alongside a clubhouse and indoor and outdoor riding arenas.

  A curved wall of rammed earth made from local soil has been added to the gridded interior of Curvilinear Serenity, a house in Iceland renovated by local practice ARG Architects.

• Recycling "breakthrough" could usher in zero-emissions cement

  Researchers at the University of Cambridge have devised a way of cheaply producing low-carbon concrete at scale by making use of waste cement and the steel industry's electric arc furnaces.
  The method developed by the engineers involves recycling old cement from demolished buildings by heating it up and reactivating the compounds within it.
