Shirley LaDonna Nitschke, 68, of Fort Smith passed away Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2016, in Fort Smith. Mrs. Nitschke was born Aug. 5, 1947, in Osage, Iowa. Shirley loved to read; she treasured spending time with her family; and she enjoyed playing games on Facebook. Her true love was her family. Mrs. Nitschke was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Edith Duncan Juenger and Luke Juenger; grandparents, Curtis and Wilma Duncan; her husband, Jerry Nitschke; and one daughter, Cristy Presley.

Claribel Jane Horton Perryman was born Sept. 10, 1926, to Fredrick Kindblade “Dick” Horton and Clara Jane Hull Horton near Carnegie, Okla. She died Monday, Jan., 25, 2016, in Stigler at the age of 89 years, 4 months and 15 days. Claribel was educated in the Alden Public Schools south of Carnegie and attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, Okla., where she met James L. Perryman, who was training at the Burns Flat Naval Air Station during World War II.
