• University of Pennsylvania Pool To Close in July For Renovations

  Next season, the Penn swim team will be relocated to alternative practice sites as their home facility, Sheerr Pool, is set to close in July for renovations that will take the entire 2024-25 academic year to complete.

  2024 ACC Champion in the 200 butterfly Noah Bowers has announced his retirement from competitive swimming. Bowers competed collegiately for NC State and had qualified for the 2024 US Olympic Trials.
  Bowers just finished his fifth year with NC State after arriving in fall 2019. As a freshman, he made two ACC ‘B’ finals and one ACC ‘C’ final but did not qualify for the NCAA Championships that were eventually canceled due to COVID-19.

  In what has become a US Olympic Swimming Trials tradition, above-average temperatures are in store for Indianapolis for the duration of the meet.
  After comfortable temperatures in the 70s starting early next week, The Weather Channel projects temperatures to rise to 88 degrees Fahrenheit (31 Celsius) on the meet’s opening day on Saturday. Highs should hover around 90 degrees for the duration of the meet and lows will be in the low 70s.
