  French prime minister Sébastian Lecornu announced that 40 people in the country have died by drowning since last Thursday.
  The announcement comes as the country, alongside the rest of its western European neighbors, endure a record heat wave.

• Providence Hires Anthony Randall From Marist As Next Head Coach

  Providence College has hired Anthony Randall as its next head coach. Randall most recently spent time as the head coach at Marist University and fills the position previously held by John O’Neill who announced his retirement in March. O’Neill had been with the program for 36 years, from 1984-2001 and once again from 2007 until March 2026.
