• Further Arrest Made into Non-Recent Child Sexual Abuse, Bradford

  Thursday 15 January 2026Detectives investigating reports of non-recent child sexual abuse in Bradford have made a further arrest as part of an ongoing investigation.  A 76 year old man was arrested in the Baildon area yesterday (14 January) on suspicion of rape and sexual assault.   Thursday 8 January 2026Detectives investigating the death of Stephen Jedynak, 72, in Wakefield have now arrested four people.Three men, aged 23, 27 and 32, have all been arrested on suspicion of murder and being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs and remain in custody.  A fourth man, aged 36, has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.Stephen died in hospital on 27 December after being found unresponsive at his home in Crofton on 24 December.  Find out more:
