  Friday 21 November 2025A man form Keighley has been jailed for 22 years for multiple rapes against three women.  George Wild aged 28 of South Street was convicted of multiple rapes by a jury in June.  On 17 November he was sentenced to 22 years in prison with three years on and extended licence.  Wild refused to come out of his cell for sentencing.  Wild was also made to sign the sex offenders register for life.  The offending took place over an eight year period against

  Thursday 8 January 2026Detectives investigating the death of Stephen Jedynak, 72, in Wakefield have now arrested four people.Three men, aged 23, 27 and 32, have all been arrested on suspicion of murder and being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs and remain in custody.  A fourth man, aged 36, has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.Stephen died in hospital on 27 December after being found unresponsive at his home in Crofton on 24 December.  Find out more:
