Man Charged With Manslaughter, Wakefield
Saturday, 10 January 2026 Detectives investigating the death of a man in Wakefield have charged a man with manslaughter.Hamza Shafique, 27, of Maidstone Street in Bradford has been remanded in custody to appear before Leeds Magistrates’ Court today (Saturday).The charge relates to the death of Stephen Jedynak, 72, who died in hospital on Saturday, 27 December after being found unresponsive at his home in Crofton three days earlier.
