Detectives have launched a murder investigation after a man died following a stabbing in Birmingham earlier this week.Officers were called to Summer Lane in Newtown at around 7.55pm on Tuesday 23 August to reports of the stabbing.A 26-year-old man was found with life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital, but his condition deteriorated and he died today (Thursday 25 August).A post-mortem will take place in due course to establish a cause of death.No arrests have been made but offic -

A drug dealer who carried a brick of cocaine in a carrier bag on a day out with his young daughter in Birmingham has been jailed for more than eight years. Carl Brookes was arrested as he came out of Five Ways railway station on the morning of Thursday 14 April with the three-year-old.
