  A prison officer has been arrested on suspicion of peddling drugs in HMP Birmingham and trying to smuggle psychoactive substances into the jail.
   
  The 35-year-old was detained at the Winson Green facility yesterday after avoiding a search of staff returning from lunch breaks.
