Police charge 17-year-old with teenager's murder
Police investigating the death of 15-year-old Jamar Walker, who died after suffering stab injuries in Smethwick last month, have charged a 17-year-old youth with his murder.
The 17-year-old, from Smethwick, who cannot be identified legally, was arrested on Tuesday 5 January and charged with murder and a further charge of attempted murder last night. He will appear before Wolverhampton Youth Court this morning (Thursday 7 January).

Body recovered from Coventry river
Police have recovered a body of a man from a Coventry river this afternoon (7 January).Officers were called to Sutherland Road, Eastern Green at around 12.30pm following the discovery.The death is currently being treated as unexplained and a full forensic post mortem to establish the cause of death will be conducted tomorrow.Although no formal identification has been made the family of missing man Luke Whelan have been informed and specialist officers continue to liaise with them.
