A callous carer who stole nearly £12k from a vulnerable pensioner has been jailed.Doreen Humpage, 51, from Castle Vale worked independently as a carer for an 87-year-old woman, who following a fall needed help with cooking, cleaning and couldn't leave the house on her own.The pensioner relied on Humpage but instead of caring for the woman she used her position to steal her debit card and regularly withdrew large amounts of cash. -

The family of a man who died as a result of a collision on a hospital car park earlier this month have paid tribute to their loving father.Ivan Tranter, from Kingswinford had parked his car on 3 November and was walking across the car park of Russells Hall Hospital when he was struck by a car reversing into a space.
