  A fraudster who paid back just £1 of the £800,000 he pocketed by conning businesses out of cash has finally had his comeuppance almost ten years on. In 2004, Hardip Malhi – aged 25 at the time - conned a number of firms by ordering goods from them, never paying for the items and then selling them on. He was convicted of conspiracy to defraud in 2006 and sentenced to 12 months in prison.

  Police are appealing for information to help trace a Coventry man who has been missing from his home since Monday (6 July).Benjamin Martin, 25 from Cliffordbridge Road, Walsgrave last contacted his family on Monday 6 July to say that he was going to visit a friend in London.However, enquiries reveal that he was possibly in the Leamington area on Tuesday7 July and it remains unclear if he ever travelled to London.
