• Roads ban for dangerous driver caught in police ‘street racing’ operation

  A street racer has been banned from the roads after being caught by patrol officers running red lights and driving at high speed around Bassetts Pole.Officers working under Operation Hercules − a campaign tackling anti-social driving in north Birmingham − were called to the A38 Minworth Bypass in the early hours of 12 April following reports of motorists wheel-spinning and doing ‘donuts’ in the road.

• Investigation launched after stolen car ploughs into Erdington home

  Police are investigating after a stolen car was driven into a house in Erdington yesterday morning (Saturday 9 May). The blue Ford Fiesta badly damaged the front of the property in Chudleigh Road just after 8am.
