    Detectives investigating a fuel card cloning scam in which £30,000 of petrol and diesel was stolen from forecourts across Birmingham have arrested a man on suspicion of plotting the fraud.The 38-year-old, from Hodge Hill, presented himself at a police station on April 17 after CCTV footage was released by West Midlands Police of two men caught on camera using duplicate cards.

    Almost 100 crime suspects found themselves in a West Midlands Police cell this morning with officers making arrests in the last 24 hours for offences ranging from robbery and domestic abuse…to using dodgy barcodes to rip-off supermarkets.Officers were called to Stonehouse Lane, Bartley Green, at 11.30pm last night by a woman reporting her iPhone had been snatched from her hand – they were on the scene within five minutes and quickly arrested a 14-year-old local lad from nearby parkland.
  • Birmingham motorcyclist named following crash

    A motorcyclist who died following a collision on a Birmingham dual carriageway has been named by police investigators.Stephen Crisp, from Sheldon, suffered fatal injuries when his silver Yamaha motorbike was in collision with a blue Vauxhall Zafira at around 4.45pm on 1 April.
