    A Birmingham teenager is due to appear in court today (10 April) charged with arson in connection with a fire that gutted the top deck of a bus in the city earlier last month. The 15-year-old, from Erdington, was arrested on 19 March after attending a police station following appeals on social media to identify the suspect.
  • Police get more time to question terror suspects

    Police have been granted more time to continue questioning three men arrested in Dover last Friday (April 3) on suspicion of Syria-related terrorism offences.Officers now have until next Friday (April 16) to charge or release the suspects, who are all in their 20s and from Birmingham.
    The men were part of a group of six − five men and one woman − detained at the port.

  • Burglars who “terrorised” West Midlands residents jailed

    Two men have been jailed for more than ten years for plotting to burgle over a dozen homes across the West Midlands in order to steal expensive cars. Roy Day, 29, and Gerard Lundie, 26, both admitted one charge each of conspiracy to commit burglary at 13 houses in Birmingham, Staffordshire, Shropshire and Warwickshire, between September and December 2014.
