The number of motorists testing positive for drink driving in December fell by more than a third, compared with the previous year.
In statistics released by the force today (21 January), West Midlands Police confirmed that over 2,000 drivers were breathalysed this Christmas - with 11 per cent of drivers proving to be over the legal limit. -
Appeal after prescription drugs stolen in Dudley burglary
Police are appealing for information after a quantity of prescription drugs were stolen from a Dudley business earlier this week.
Officers were called to a warehouse on an Industrial Estate in Brierley Hill at around 9am on 19 January following reports of the premises being burgled.
It is believed that thieves broke into the lock up, stole a vehicle and a locked safe containing prescription drugs.
