• Ten guilty after man’s finger cut off in Coventry kidnap

    Three men have today (8 December) been found guilty of kidnapping a Coventry man and cutting his finger off in a ransom demand. Seven more pleaded guilty to the crime at earlier hearings at Leamington Justice Centre.

  • Man remanded into custody following assault on a woman in Sandwell

    Detectives have charged a man with wounding following an assault on a woman in her Sandwell home. 

     

    Police were alerted by the ambulance service at around 6am on Friday 5 December to reports of an assault on a woman at an address on Trident Drive in Warley.
  • Man jailed for series of cash point explosions

    A man has been jailed for 13-and-a-half years for blowing up cash machines across the West Midlands.

    Constantin Alexandroaia , from Geoffrey Place in Sparkhill, pumped gas into Barclays ATMs in Birmingham, Castle Bromwich and Leicester before igniting the vapour in an attempt to blow open the machines and expose their cash vaults.
