    Road near Bucknell to close for retaining wall repairs
    The C6208 will be closed from 13 to 31 July [2026] from the A488 New Invention to the Lower Lye Junction – for work on a collapsed retaining wall.
    The scheme will involve the removal of the collapsed retaining wall, construction of a new concrete footing, rebuilding of the retaining wall, installation of parapet fencing, and reinstatement of the highway verge and carriageway.

    Morton Bridge near Knockin to close for maintenance work
    Morton Bridge – which carries the B4396 over the River Morda – will be closed for maintenance work from 29 June to 10 July [2026].
    The work will involve taking down and rebuilding the downstream parapet and general pointing works following an RTC last year.
    Unfortunately, in order to carry out the work safely it will be necessary to close the bridge to vehicular traffic. The closure will be in force 24 hours a day.

    Work to be carried out on Frankwell footbridge in Shrewsbury

    Work is to be carried out over five weekdays, starting on Friday 5 June [2026], to improve Frankwell footbridge in Shrewsbury, ahead of the construction of the new landing/stairway area into the new Riverside Gardens park.
    The work – which is likely to be noisy – will be carried out on the Smithfield Road side of the bridge, near to the sloping ramp down to street level. The work is taking place between 8am and 5.30pm each
