Notts County have been dealt a significant blow after it emerged top scorer Jon Stead could be out until Christmas.The nine-goal frontman went over on his ankle in the game against Crewe just under a fortnight ago and was substituted at half-time.Stead has been sent for a scan, but Magpies boss John Sheridan is yet to hear the results which will determine the extent of the damage.But he said, having spoken to physio John Wilson, he is expecting the former Sunderland striker to be out until late. -
