Nottingham Post published Matt Mills unruffled as he returns to old club amid period of...
It takes only a few minutes in his company for Matt Mills to give the clear impression that he is not the sort of character to get panicked.Whether he is facing a difficult question off the pitch or a testing challenge for the ball on it, composed, rather than laid back, feels like the right way to describe him.The prospect of a return to his former club, to the stadium he only officially left a few months ago, might be a daunting prospect to some players. But the former Bolton captain, you... -

Henri Lansbury has "set an example" with his professional behaviour throughout his Burnley transfer saga, says Dougie Freedman. And the Reds boss also believes Michail Antonio can now emerge in the right frame of mind from the unsettling influences of his own transfer drama.Nottingham Forest skipper Lansbury (pictured) has produced some of his best performances, even as the debate over his future dragged on for weeks, following Burnley's £4m bid for him.Freedman paid tribute to... -

Kyle Ebecilio can bring some much needed competition – and versatility – to Nottingham Forest's midfield, according to boss Dougie Freedman.Freedman was keen to bolster his options in the centre of the pitch following the injury to Robert Tesche – and with the prospect of losing Henri Lansbury to Burnley.Forest ultimately won the battle to keep Lansbury and now find themselves with some quality midfield options, with David Vaughan playing well, Ben Osborn back, Andy Reid... -
Nottingham Post published Nottingham Rugby only looking forward and also taste win at...
Dan Montagu knows better than most the opportunity Nottingham Rugby missed last season. However, the new club captain doesn't want his team-mates to dwell on it heading into the new term. When the dust settled on the regular season in the last Championship, Nottingham were on the outside looking in as they missed out on the top four – and a semi-final spot – by just five points. They had been in the play-off places for the bulk of the season but lost the winning formula as they entered. -

Just after tea at Trent Bridge, Alex Hales clipped his 1,000th first-class run of the summer into the leg side on the way to a brilliant 189 against Warwickshire.Within minutes, at the Oval, Adam Lyth played the kind of shot that gets you dropped by England when you are under the microscope, in a moment that could prove pivotal in the careers of both men.Lyth's Test credentials have been under scrutiny throughout the Ashes and going into the fifth Test with a top score of 37, he needed the kind. -
