Winter is, for many, the most beautiful time of the year, what with all the celebrations, snow, serene weather, and icy evenings spent wrapped in a warm blanket, cup of tea in hand. However, whilst the numerous idiosyncrasies of winter bring some people joy and peace year after year, the lack of sunlight and shorter days can cause others to feel somewhat despondent and depressed throughout this time. This psychological condition is known medically as SAD: Seasonal Affective Disorder, and it affe -

This book gives you the perfect inside edge to what extents poor or helpless people go just so they can live the life people dream off. -

To anyone familiar with the streets of London, the iconic Black Cab is a frequent sight, and many of us have travelled by cab, watching London go by from the backseat, whether hopping across the city for a work meeting or travelling home after an evening out. Black cab drivers are relied upon to be knowledgeable and entertaining, but few of us take the time to think more about the driver than that. I met Tim Harlow through our local kayak club, where he organises our tidal trips and tells us abo -

A Christmas Carol - Ruby Snowling, Coombe Wood School
On Friday the 6th of January 2023, my school took a trip to see “A Christmas Carol” at the Old Vic. Cataracts Surgery- Annabelle Tams: St Bede's
Cataracts are the clouding of the lense in the eye, resulting from a change in the way cells are arranged, and their water content. Cataracts are treated by a surgery, in which the lense is broken up and removed, and replaced with an artificial lense made of plastic or silicone. This lense does not need to be replaced- meaning the patient only needs one operation per eye. I spoke to Anne, who had recently undergone the surgery, to find out more about it. -
