  Emergency services have been called to East Croydon station after a man was taken ill on one of the platforms this evening.A spokesman for Southern Rail said an ambulance was called to help the man who was on platform three and four at about 6.30pm.A call was also put out across the station for any medical personnel in the area to provide help.It is understood that the man's illness is diabetes related.
