  Croydon Underpass will remain closed overnight as engineers try to get to the bottom of a hole which opened in the road today. At midday the council issued a warning that the Wellesley Road underpass had been closed so "emergency works" could take place. At about the same time Transport for London said on Twitter the closure was due to a "void" in the road.
