  IT TOOK 35 firefighters three hours to bring a blaze in empty flats above a Carshalton shop under control on Thursday.Six fire exngines were called to the scene in Wrythe Lane at 7.20pm after a passerby spotted flames through the window of one of the second floor flats.No one was hurt in the fire and crews from Sutton, Wimbledon, Wallington, New Malden and Tooting had flames under control by 10.30pm. The flat and the roof were severely damaged and the cause of the fire is under investigation by.
