Police close Croydon Underpass after car fire
CROYDON Underpass was closed by the police this evening after a car caught fire. The underpass was shut in both directions after the fire broke out at around 6.30pm.
London Fire Bridage were called to the scene and had the blaze under control by 6.50pm. The Metropolitan Police then partially reopened the underpass and directed traffic around the burnt out vehicle. A spokesman confirmed no one was injured in the fire. Witness Tavinash Sanassee posted photos and videos of the fire on Twitter.... -
