    A Croydon man appeared in court charged with terrorism offences.Mohammed Alam, 31, appeared at Westminster Magistrates' court yesterday morning charged with distributing or circulating a terrorist publication.Alam was charged under section 2(1), (2)(a) and (11) of the Terrorism Act 2006, after being arrested on December 22, at a business address by officers from the MPS Counter Terrorism Command.He was remanded in custody and will appear at the Old Bailey on January 8.
