Woman taken to hospital after being 'shot' in Thornton Heath
A WOMAN was taken to hospital this afternoon after being 'shot' in Thornton Heath. The victim, believed to be in her 60s, was injured while she walking in Thornton Road. A Met Police spokesman said officers were called to her home in Mayfield Road at 2.04pm to reports that a firearm had been discharged. An ambulance crew also attended the scene and the woman was taken to hospital with what is believed to be a superficial injury. Firearms officers were quickly stood down and police are exploring. -
