  Sunday 18 January 2026Four people have been arrested on suspicion of a series of burglaries at sports venues in Keighley.An appeal, including CCTV footage, was released on Friday following burglaries at Keighley Golf Club and Keighley RUFC.A 19-year-old man, two 18-year-old men and a 16-year-old boy were all arrested in Keighley overnight and are currently in custody.Members of the public who shared the appeal or provided information to the police are thanked for their help.Find out more:

  Friday 16 January, 2026A Batley man who assaulted a woman and then attacked a man who came to her aid, has been jailed.   Ibrar Mehrban, aged 37, from Batley, was jailed for six years at Leeds Crown Court today ( Friday 16 January) after being found guilty of offences of  grievous bodily harm and section 47 assault. Find out more:

• CCTV Appeal after Burglaries at Golf and Rugby Clubs, Keighley

  Friday, 16 January, 2026Police in Keighley have issued CCTV footage of males they would like to identify following three burglaries at sports venues in the town.  The first burglary happened at Keighley Golf Club, Keelham Lane, Utley, at some time overnight between Wednesday 7 January and Thursday 8 January.  Suspects broke into the premises and took three golf buggies as well as other items including knives and alcohol from the premises. Two of the buggies were later recovered.

  Friday 16 January 2026A man has been arrested in connection with a series of reported sexual assaults in the Harehills and Gipton areas of Leeds.An appeal for information, including images and footage of a suspect, was issued last month.
