  • Power upgrade to support 27 trains per hour on Piccadilly line by 2027

    A contract to upgrade the London Underground’s Piccadilly line’s power supply has been awarded to prepare the line for the new trains due to arrive in service later this year.
    The £24 million contract is the second ‘batch’ awarded that, when completed, will provide the infrastructure to support the introduction of the new ‘24 Tube Stock’ (24TS) and increase the peak Piccadilly line service to 27 trains per hour.
