  • Cinemas to show the State Funeral on Monday

    A number of cinemas will be screening the State Funeral live on a big screen for free on Monday.
    Screening events in cinemas is an increasingly popular alternative to blockbuster movies, and while it’s usually a money earner for the cinemas, on Monday all the seats will be free of charge.

    US telcos Verizon Wireless, AT&T and Comcast are being sued by media production companies over what they see as a failure to stop movie piracy, reportedly.
    They have been sued by a gang of media production companies  including Voltage Pictures, After Productions and Ammo Entertainment who accuse them of ‘turning a blind eye to customers who illegally distribute and download pirated films’, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

  • London mainline railway stations to stay open overnight for the State Funeral

    The rail industry has announced more overnight trains, and that London’s mainline stations will be open overnight to provide shelter on the day of the State Funeral to help people get home.As long distance services are expected to be busiest in the late afternoon and evening following the State Funeral, passengers traveling shorter distances are being encouraged not to rush home immediately afterwards to help ease pressure on tube and rail stations.
