  • National rail strikes to take place in September

    Two national rail strikes have been announced for September (so far), taking place on Thursday 15th September and on Monday/Tuesday 26th/27th September.

    The first strike on the 15th September is by Aslef members, which is mainly the train drivers, and will affect 12 of the UK’s train operating companies. As it’s train drivers going on strike, the impact is expected to be considerable.

  • Watford and Herts councils make fresh push for Watford to Croxley link

    Although the planned extension of the London Underground’s Met line in Watford was cancelled in 2018, the local councils have appointed a team to look at alternative options for making use of the abandoned route.

    A joint venture between Liberty Global Ventures and InfraVia Capital Partners, Liberty Networks, has began rolling out a new full fibre network in Germany branded helloFiber.
    Construction of the new fibre brand starts this week in Rudersberg, a municipality in the Rems-Murr district of Baden-Württemberg.
