    A new book published by Open City takes a look at London’s pubs from a different perspective taken by many pub guides published today.
    Edited by Cristina Moneiro and David Knight who run DK-CM, an architecture and planning practice, and is a follow on from a project started 10-years ago to document London’s pubs.     Restored Theatre Royal Drury Lane to start public tours
    Following a 2-year and £60 million restoration, the Theatre Royal Drury Lane reopened last month, and next month they will start public tours of the building.
    Tours will run from the 15th September and will take visitors through an unseen part of West End history, discovering hidden – and sometimes spooky – tales that date back over 350 years.

    London’s Alleys: Down Street Mews, W1
    This is a secluded mews that can be found around the back of a disused tube station near Hyde Park.Unusually for a Mews, this one is not Georgian stables that were later turned into housing. In fact, the mews is relatively modern, although it was partially some stables. Originally, when the area was developed, the mews was the back gardens of the grand houses that face Piccadilly, and Down Street had smaller houses running along it.
