• The UK is turning to VoD – Ofcom

  Half of UK homes now subscribe to TV Streaming services, reveals a new Ofcom report, as the country increasingly opts for video-on-demand.

• A month of free travel on the London Overground

  As compensation for the lengthy delays on the Gospel Oak to Barking line, September will be a month of free travel, funded by the train manufacturer.
  The announcement came as the last of the new trains finally came into service bringing the lengthy upgrade project to a final conclusion.   Content giant Disney has unveiled what it presumably hopes will be a Netflix-busting bundle of Disney+ ESPN+ and Hulu in the US.

• Apple continues to command the smartwatch market – report

  Analysts believe Apple has increased its smartwatch shipments by 50% to capture a bigger share of an expanding market. The gap between the Apple Watch and the chasing pack is widening.
