A mum and her four newly born kittens have been found living underneath an escalator at a London Underground station.
Staff at Moorgate tube station found the four kittens who are thought to be just a few days old after a woman spotted them, and they called the RSPCA to come and assist.
(c) RSPCA
Staff told the RSPCA that they were worried that the escalator had been due to start test runs at 6pm, so the discovery at 5pm had probably avoided a serious accident for the mum and her kittens.

The old cottage being restored in Plaistow
On the other side of the road from Plaistow Station is a set of steps down to a park, and a dilapidated cottage. The cottage was apparently last given a lick of paint in the 1970s, and was rented out ever since, presumably to people with a penchant for 1970s decor.
However, anyone walking past recently might have noticed wooden shutters going up and fencing, for this old cottage is about to get a heritage makeover.
The single-storey gabled cottage was built around 1840, and was the gate house lod -

City of London blocks huge adverts on Cannon Street railway bridge
Network Rail’s plans to put two 12-metre wide video display screens at Cannon Street’s railway bridge have been blocked by the City of London’s planning authority.
TfL expressed concerns as the adverts would be above Upper Thames Street, which forms part of the Transport for London Road Network (TLRN), and is also part of Cycle Superhighway (CS3).
TfL has installed advertising at the underpass on the A3 at New Malden and the Euston underpass. In both of these cases there are no -
US set to lose Huawei propaganda game in Europe
The US has been investing a lot of energy and time attempting to prove the value of banning Huawei, but it seems a failed quest as the European Commission readies itself to rule out a ban.
According to Reuters, Andrus Ansip, European Commissioner for Digital Single Market, will unveil new plans tomorrow (Tuesday 26). These plans will distance the Commission from the idea of an outright ban across the bloc but heighten security protocols and monitoring requirements for 5G. This is only a recommen -

London’s Alleys: Abel’s Buildings, E1
This is an unmarked alley that runs under the DLR and railway tracks into Fenchurch Street and somehow survives as a narrow smelly dank alley way. So obviously, it’s marvelous. The first this was to find out if the alley has a name, and how long it has been here.
The Fairthorn map of 1658 shows a row of houses lining the road with fields behind, and no alley or path. John Rocque’s map of 1746 shows the first indication of the alley, as the area is built up with warehouses and just beh -
