  GitHub has reportedly begun restricting access to its service for people who live in areas under US trade sanctions.
  A programmer in the Russian-occupied Crimea region and another in Iran said the popular code-sharing site curtailed their use of its services this week.

  In total, 18 Democratic hopefuls spent more than $87,000 on rides and meals in the first half of 2019, according to regulatory filings.

  On Thursday's second-quarter earnings call, Google's parent company, Alphabet, offered up a rare nugget of granularity not typically revealed in its financial report.
