The criticism around Tesla selling emission credits proves that analysts don't understand the company's business (TSLA)
Wall Street analysts complained that Tesla failed to acknowledge about $200 million in non-ZEV credit sales for its Q1 earnings, tucking the info away in a 10-Q filing with the SEC instead.
Tesla has been dinged for selling ZEV and non-ZEV credits before — despite its ability to freely generate them in the natural course of business.
The complaints demonstrate a worrying trend of analysts ignoring the realities of Tesla's business.

The death of the American middle class and rising costs have forced fast-food chains like McDonald's and Taco Bell to try new strategies in their quest to win over budget shoppers (MCD, YUM)
America is seeing an economic "bifurcation," with many people being left behind even as the economy thrives, according to Greg Creed, the CEO of Taco Bell, KFC, and Pizza Hut parent company Yum Brands.
As a result, chains like Taco Bell and KFC are doubling down on value to win over budget shoppers who still can't afford to spend much on food.
Meanwhile, rising costs are forcing chains such as McDonald's to ditch massive discounts and raise prices.
