  The Revolution Beauty co-founders are returning to “reset” the company, after it failed to find a suitable buyer.
  Co-founders Tom Allsworth and Adam Minto are set to return to the retailer, after stepping down following a host of accounting problems.
  It comes after Revolution Beauty launched a formal sale process earlier this year, following a takeover approach.

• Consumer confidence reaches highest level of the year

  UK consumer confidence hit its highest level this year in August, despite “clouds on the horizon”, in terms of growing unemployment and inflation.
  The GfK’s consumer confidence index rose by two points to -17 over the month, boosted by improved personal finances, likely due to the recent reduction to interest rates.

  Asda has partnered with Lloyds Bank to launch a sustainability-linked supply chain finance programme, offering its UK suppliers access to “preferential rates based on sustainability performance”.

• Co-op debuts ‘tap to join’ membership scheme feature on ESLs

  Co-op has updated its electronic shelf labels (ESLs) to allow shoppers to “tap to join” its membership scheme.
  The feature works by using near field communication (NFC) technology in its ESLs to direct customers to its membership webpage via their mobile phone when they tap the label with their device.
