The Range has celebrated an “exceptional” start to 2025 as the business completes the first phase of its former Homebase store conversions.

Watches of Switzerland full-year sales boosted by “strong” second half
Watches of Switzerland delivered a sales uplift during its full-year trading update, as it highlighted “significant performance improvement” in its second half.

Aldi pledges to stick to British meat import welfare commitments
Aldi UK and Ireland chief executive Giles Hurley has promised to stick to the discounter’s food safety and welfare standards regardless of whether current regulations are watered down.
It comes amid concerns that post-Brexit trade negotiations could lead to a weakening of the UK’s import rules which currently prohibit the likes of chlorinated chicken and hormone-treated beef entering the country.

MFI to make high street comeback after almost two decades
Household furniture retailer MFI is set to return to the British high street after nearly two decades since it collapsed into administration.
Owner Victorian Plumbing said the brand will relaunch in the second half of 2026.

B&M has appointed Tjeerd Jegen as its new chief executive, who has a “strong track record of driving growth and transformation”.

Evri to merge with DHL UK to form delivery giant
Evri is set to merge with the UK ecommerce business of DHL to form a new delivery giant that will handle more than a billion parcels and letters a year.
The partnership, subject to regulatory approval, will see DHL Group take a “significant minority stake” in the Apollo owned delivery firm to create the Evri Group.
