The West End lost £640m last year due to the lack of tax-free shopping, rising from £400m in 2023.
The Central London district saw subdued growth of 0.25% year on year over November and December, New West End Company (NWEC) reported.

John Lewis has teamed up with Rough Trade to sell vinyl records across some its department stores and online.
The records retailer has created a “carefully curated selection of old and modern classics” for John Lewis shoppers, The Guardian reported, with albums ranging from Nirvana and Nick Drake to Chappell Roan and Fontaines DC.
