Waitrose has brought back its free coffee offer for all loyalty scheme members, even if they have not purchased anything from the grocer.
The upmarket supermarket told its My Waitrose scheme members that from 27 January they would be able to receive one complimentary hot drink per day with no purchase required, as long as they brought a reusable cup.

Nobody’s Child rolls out clothing takeback scheme
Womenswear brand Nobody’s Child has teamed up with pre-loved fashion firm Reskinned to launch a takeback scheme.
The scheme is designed to give clothes “another shot at life” after shoppers are finished with them and is “accepting pieces in any condition”.
The initiative finds the garments a new home, repairs them, if needed, or chooses the best recycling route for them if they have been “worn and loved to the very end”.

River Island calls in advisers to tighten grip on costs ahead of tax rises
River Island has reportedly drafted in consultants from AlixPartners to assist in managing costs and improving profitability as the high street faces the looming prospect of tax hikes in April.
The privately owned fashion retailer, which operates over 250 stores across the UK, is preparing to take a tighter approach to its cost base. While the scope of the advisory work is not fully clear, it is understood that it does not involve formal restructuring or store closures, Sky News reported.
