Zalando quarterly profits boosted by this year’s ‘Summer of Sport’
Zalando’s second quarter profits have jumped thanks to strong growth across its sports, designer and beauty categories.
The German fashion giant reported adjusted EBIT surged 18% to £147.1m (€171.6m), up from £124.2m (€144.8m).

Late start to summer boosts July retail sales
Retail sales edged up in July as the late start to the summer provided a boost to the retail sector as consumers sought to make the most of the warm weather.
The latest figures from the British Retail Consortium (BRC) show total sales rose 0.5% last month, against a growth of 1.5% in July 2023. This is below the 12-month average growth of 1.4%.

Last week, beauty brand P.Louise broke the UK record for the most revenue generated on TikTok Shop by a brand, as it made £1.5m in just 12 hours.
