  N Brown Group has announced the appointment of Heidi Kenyon-Smith as the new general manager of its womenswear brand Simply Be.
  Kenyon-Smith joins the company with 20 years of industry experience, most recently serving as managing director of digital marketing media agency iProspect.

  Sainsbury’s has launched personalised lower prices for Nectar Card users on its website and grocery app under its Your Nectar Prices scheme.

• FCA reports ‘significant’ rise in shoppers using BNPL

  There has been a “significant” rise in shoppers using Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) services to purchase products, according to the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
  The financial services company found 27% of UK adults had used BNPL to buy something during the six months to January 2023.
  By comparison, just 17% claimed to use the method during the previous 12 months to May 2022.

  Fortnum & Mason has resumed deliveries to European countries after it stopped the service due to Brexit custom challenges.
  The luxury retailer has launched a dedicated website for its EU customers and is now shipping to 15 countries on the mainland from a dedicated fulfillment centre in Belguim.

• UK shop price inflation drops to lowest rate in over a year

  Annual shop price inflation for October plummeted to its lowest level since last August, according to the BRC-NielsenIQ shop price index.
  Shop prices dropped from 6.2% in September to 5.2% for this month, putting it below the three-month average inflation rate of 6.1%.
  Food inflation fell to 8.8% in October, compared to almost 10% in September, while non-food inflation dipped to 3.4%.
