The North Face has signed a new 10-year lease on Regent Street to expand its global flagship, according to Great Portland Estates.
The store, located at Walmar House, 288-300 Regent Street will grow to 10,000 sq ft across its ground and basement floors, to up its retail footprint by 33%.
The outdoor clothing retailer has traded at GPE’s Walmar House since 2015.

Data: 85% of retailers are confident about growth in the next year
A new report released by Barclays ‘The New Retail Reality’ has revealed that more than 8 in 10 of retailers are confident about growth over the next year, despite recent cost of living pressures.
Of the 601 retailers and wholesalers surveyed, 85% of them had a positive outlook on growth next year compared to the last 12 months.
While the report proved that in-store shopping is here to stay in a post-pandemic world with 86% of retailers saying physical stores remain vital to their fut -

Primark is slashing prices on hundreds of its essential children’s clothing products to help families battle the cost of living crisis.
The discount retailer is lowering prices across selected ranges of its kidswear essentials, under its upcoming Autumn/Winter collection, which arrives in all UK Primark stores at the end of July.

RAC: Supermarkets have doubled fuel margins since Ukraine war
UK supermarkets have more than doubled their margins on fuel since the start of the war in Ukraine, according to recent data from the RAC..
Before the conflict, Asda, Tesco, Morrisons and Sainsbury’s were making a margin of just under 5p (4.7p) per litre on fuel, with 3.7p for petrol and 5.7p for diesel.

Ocado to be paid £200m by Norwegian rival to settle robot patent dispute
Ocado will be handed £200 million by rival Norwegian company AutoStore after winning a three-year long ‘robot wars’ legal battle.
The retail giant said it and AutoStore have settled their long-running dispute over robot patents.
Back in 2020, AutoStore tried to protect six patents that it said Ocado had breached, and launched a legal battle.
AutoStore will now pay the retailer £200m in 24 monthly instalments starting in July 2023 under the new settlement.
