Verizon released a new minute-long video as a tribute to those serving the country and its role connecting them to their families.
As a part of the wireless carrier’s Military Appreciation Month, Verizon worked with the Wounded Warriors Project to stitch together a montage of military family reunions, all taken through mobile devices. Starting with one set of parents in silent shock as their son returns from a tour, the spot hops from surprised family to surprised family as their lov

Colin Lewis: One word sums up why now is the best time to be a marketer
Believe it or not – and given all the bad news around marketing in the last few months, many people do not – I believe today is the best time ever to work in marketing. It is time to rethink the idea that the Mad Men era or the 1980s were the golden age. Bleak assessments around the state of marketing are simply wrong.
I recently had to present to a group of master’s degree students – the exact master’s I had done all those years ago, so I had to think through my ca -

Trade groups representing media owners on both sides of the Atlantic snubbed Google's invite yesterday. Instead, a cohort of representatives implored the company to issue a written response to questions they posed to Google in an open letter three weeks ago about i -
Stop the discontent with your content
Audiences are sick and tired of seeing shedloads of the same material over and over again. Fact.
According to Joe Pulizzi, Founder of Content Marketing Institute, where content marketing is concerned, yes, *shock* - “More is not better. Better is better.”

Ad of the Day: Diesel employs the ‘Capsule’ to ensure meetings never last more than 15 minutes
Diesel has launched it's 'The Capsule' campaign, which surprisingly has nothing to with it's signature clothing.

Never Slack with a MarTech Stack
The journey of digital transformation is nomadic, with no final destination set for technological innovation. Just when modern marketers begin to settle with the right technology, they find themselves packing up and moving on to another device just to keep up with competitors.
On top of this, adopting the right device each time can feel laborious and futile, wasting precious time and resources which could be spent on more pressing tasks.
If only there was a guide for marketers, which would help -

Isobar UK's Alex Hamilton spoke to FashMash founders Rosanna Falconer and Rachel Arthur about the impact the digital revolution is having on retail and how the store will have to evolve to survive.

Lindsay Pattison: We need a radically more human approach to leadership
Change is happening all around as – as consumers we experience it every day, and as professionals in our industry it consumes our conversations.
Beyond the trends we tend to focus on – technology, consumer behaviour, agency transformation - the most profound change we are facing as an industry is our talent. Today, in marketing, Gen Y and Gen Z make up the majority of the workforce. Whilst these groups are too large to be put simply into brackets, certainly they hold different work v -

Happy GDPR Day. Charities, your big challenge starts now
It’s the May 25 and we're guessing there are four little letters you probably never want to hear again, let alone read about. You’ve likely lived and breathed GDPR for the past six months. Sorry to break it to you, but dropping the GDPR ball now is the last thing anyone should be doing - especially charities.
Today is just the start of the consent process - not the end of it.
