Robert Harwood-Matthews has joined Starcom USA as executive vice president and managing director to lead the agency’s Samsung business.
According to his LinkedIn profile, he joined Starcom this month to lead the media strategy, investment and activation teams for Samsung. Last August, he left his post as CEO of HL Group. Before that, Harwood-Matthews served as president of TBWA\Chiat\Day New York.

Brooklyn’s Madwell names new creative director and media director
Brooklyn-based creative agency Madwell recently hired Adam Levite as its new as its new creative director and Frank Zoller as its first media director.
Levite will work closely with chief creative officer, Chris Sojka to evolve the company’s creative strategy and production. Zoller will report to chief executive officer David Eisenman and is charged with optimizing client media allocations and ensuring that media is fully integrated into the agency offering.

Nordstrom forms new innovation team with former Rack boss at helm
Seattle-based retailer Nordstrom has created a new position in its leadership in hopes of increasing and engaging its customer base. Geevy Thomas has been named the company’s first chief innovation officer, leading a team that will be tasked with connecting with customers who are focused on digital experiences.

Music streaming service Spotify was no doubt aware of comments made by Barack Obama that he would like to work with the company once his time as president comes to a Donald Trump-shaped end later this month.
